All business owners, non-profits, HR/business professionals, supervisors and anyone that wants to learn more about the upcoming Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime rule changes effective December 1, 2016.

Presenter: Tom Torgersen, Attorney at Law, Hanft Fride Law Firm
Mr. Torgerson is a trial lawyer and maintains an active labor and employment law practice. As a litigator, he defends individuals and companies against a variety of claims, both insured and uninsured, in the principal areas of commercial transactions, construction, insurance, employment, personal injury and professional malpractice. In his labor and employment practice, he represents private and public employers in all aspects of the collective bargaining process; from responding to union organization efforts, through contract negotiations, to the handling of grievance and interest arbitrations. He also counsels companies on employment law compliance and defends them against claims asserted in state and federal agency proceedings and in court. Mr. Torgerson attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving his B.A. degree with distinction in 1981 and his J.D. degree, cum laude in 1985.
