Employee Benefit Compliance in 2017 and Beyond

With the 2016 election, both the legislative and executive branches of our federal government will be under Republican control and change is coming in some fashion. At this event, Nicholas Karls of Hays Compliance will outline what he believes employers should do in the short-term as well as possible long term impacts of the election.

1.) What employers should do to comply with rules currently in place
2.) Possible changes to the ACA and other benefits laws
3.) Possible new legislation or regulations
4.) Possible opportunities for employer sponsored welfare plans.

This will be an interactive presentation/discussion and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Nicholas Karls is the Associate Director of Research and Compliance for Hays Companies. He is an internal legal counsel to Hars Companies consultants and team members, as well as a consultant to Hays clients on issues involving the administration of employee benefits including issues dealing with the Affordable Care Act, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, as well as other federal and state rules and regulations. He holds a law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
