Northland Healthy Minds seeks to educate about the stigma around mental illness and the damage it can do.  By breaking down that stigma, people with mental illnesses will feel safe to talk about them and will find it easier to ask for help in finding treatment and resources.

A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR EVENT SPONSOR - ST. LUKE'S

This presentation will provide a definition and examples of what stigma is and how it impacts our communities and workplaces. Additionally it provides information about ways that employers and individuals can get involved locally, and information about the Northland Healthy Minds organization and impact.

Learn the five things you can do to create a workplace that values good mental health.  Participants will learn how to promote good mental health (including dealing with stress), the common symptoms of a mental illness, how attitudes and language impact people with mental illnesses, and accommodations for a mental illness.

Presented by Stephanie Cotton and Karly Horn with St. Luke's Wellness Program.
